I have been writing a personal blog on eczema for the past fiv years now and it is called “eczema-anindianperspective.com. This blog had initially started as a therapeutic experience for me as a parent trying to make sense and deal with the serious health issues of her daughter. I started writing this blog to also share our experiences and the lessons learned from them so that others could benefit from them as well. I wanted to let other parents know that they were not alone in dealing with the child’s chronic condition and also to let them know there are usually alternative options available to us if only we look for them.
If you have a child struggling with eczema (or even suffer from eczema yourself), you may find it useful to go through the blog posts that I have written over the past 5 years.
I have also written a book on our experiences of dealing with eczema and it was published in April 2016. It is called “I have eczema…so what?“
The book is not just about eczema; it is about the life of a 9-year-old girl living with a severe, chronic condition. It is about how the girl manages to deal with her condition with the love and support that she gets from her family. It is about the small things that the family does together that makes a difference; it is about the mindset that the family adopts towards dealing with this condition together.
