This one thing is a must when making sticky, healthy choices
It is really tricky to make sticky and healthy choices on a daily basis. And if you are dealing with chronic health issues, then it becomes more difficult. You see, it is the small decisions that we make every single day that matter in the long run.
The key to doing this consistently is ACCOUNTABILITY.
“Success is the product of daily habits-not once-in-a-lifetime transformations”
James Clear
Making healthy choices that are also sticky is difficult but not impossible.
What do you think derails someone from achieving the best health possible for them?
What do you think holds them back from living a quality life free from pain, confusion, and overwhelm?
The answer is accountability. This helps us stay on track and get back on track when we get derailed. Everyone needs someone to hold them accountable and provide the right kind of support.
Accountability is the key
While health education is geared towards teaching people and is useful, there is often a gap between intention and behaviour.
Health Coaching really shines in this area as it helps clients discover their own power to change. It also provides them the accountability that they need to actually continue doing it.
As a Health Coach who works with women with autoimmune conditions, I use different tools which help my clients. This helps to nurture what is best with them and use their strengths to incorporate new, healthy habits.

Habits- a double edged sword?
It is very easy to repeat bad habits than form new ones. Equally, it can be really hard to continue with good habits beyond a short period of time.
Despite our best intentions, unhealthy habits are often hard to get rid of. This can keep us stuck when we are trying to create new habits to help our bodies recover.
You can change this by making a habit a part of your identity. It can provide you with the motivation that you need from within to maintain the newly formed habits.
For example, if you want to run a marathon, you need to first focus on becoming the kind of person that you need to become in order to run a marathon-a runner

Making healthy choices consistently
Making healthy choices needs to become a new habit that is a part of your daily routine. As you can see now, only information and education are not enough. Having some kind of support in the form of accountability is important when you are trying to heal from a chronic condition. You can get this from an online community, support group, a family member, a friend, a Health Coach.
As Bob Proctor had said
Accountability is the glue that ties commitment to the result
