I know that you are already constantly inundated with a LOT of information about COVID-19. This post brings to you 5 episodes on COVID-19 which cover a variety of topics and answers many of the questions that you may have about this virus. I have handpicked these episodes so that it cuts through the noise you and brings to you the latest research from the experts and specialists in this field from all over the world. The information that we have is constantly evolving and this makes it very difficult for most people to distinguish from what is true about this virus and what is not. The experts in these episodes are a mix of doctors, infectious disease specialists, immunologists and microbiologists with a deep understanding of this topic.

Fortunately, as a Health Coach, I have access to the latest updates and developments on this health crisis. It is my responsibility and my commitment to share it with you and I will be doing so in the days and weeks to come. I share this so that you can make informed decisions to protect yourself and your family during these difficult times without feeling overwhelmed and paranoid.

All in all a short but informative episode.

This is a very informative podcast hosted by the Functional Medicine practitioner Chris Kresser called "Revolutionary Health Radio". In this episode he interviews Dr  Ramzi Asfour who is an infectious disease and internal medicine doctor. They discuss topics like how the COVID-19 spreads, testing, how infectious it is, how you can protect yourself, support your immune system and more. These podcast episodes are always comprehensive and updated with the latest research.

This episode is from the podcast "The Doctor's Farmacy" which is hosted by the Functional Medicine practitioner Dr Mark Hyman. This episode is a webinar that he had hosted along with doctors at the Ultrawellness Clinic to answer questions that we all have on COVID-19. They covered topics like building immunity, strategies to protect yourself and your family, the importance of social distancing, tips for anyone dealing with chronic health issues and the role of Functional Medicine in this kind of crisis. A very informative and useful discussion.

This podcast is hosted by Metagenics where they interview Natural healthcare practitioners including Functional Medicine practitioners and discuss health related topics. In this episode they interviewed Dr Heather Zwickey, an immunologist and microbiologist and discuss what makes COVID-19 more pathogenic than other viruses, emerging data about the spread of the virus, comparison to previous pandemics, conventional treatments and the potential of natural treatments.

This podcast is hosted by Dr Peter Attia who specialises in the applied science of longevity. In this episode he interviews Michael Osterholm who is the Director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota and author of Deadliest Enemy: Our War Against Killer Germs. In this extremely detailed episode they discuss the brief history of COVID-19 and what lies ahead, mortality rate, the challenges in protecting healthcare workers, issues with testing capability, the impact of comorbidities like diabetes, obesity and patients with suppressed immune systems, the difference in cases and fatalities across the world and much much more.

I hope that these episodes dispel some of the myths that you may be encountering on social media, news papers and elsewhere. It is my endeavour to do my bit to share information that is relevant, true and useful to you.
